2/3, 2 RBI, 2 RS, double, sac fly, and one screw-up that cost Halladay 34 consecutive shutout innings at the Zen, but let's digress. Dom Brown was fantastic... all 6-foot-5, 200 scrawny pounds of him. He showed it off on a hanging change off Edwin Jackson in the second, and then again when he messed up and thought the ball was yard. He hustled and got to second. He scored from first on a Chooch double on the left field line with no trouble.

The NL East already has plenty of young right fielders with Stanton and Heyward up this season, but Brown could challenge them as the best of the bunch. The 22-year old found his power stroke this summer to go along with 30- or 40-steal speed on the basepaths. With his long arms providing low-ball prowess, Brown has all the potential of a Chase Utley... with more steals.

Shane maybe gone three weeks, so a little infusion of youth and exuberance could provide a boost for a lineup missing Vic and Rollins.

He wasn't projected as a good power hitter, but it is rapidly developing. The Phillies are getting ready for when Werth bolts for free agency after this year.
