A deal is reportedly in place. If he does go to the Bronx, his value will skyrocket. He'll be in a much better lineup, a better hitter's park, and maybe a change of scenery and a pennant chase will be enough motivation to get him going.

I just saw an interview where Berkman said he has 24 hours to change his mind about the trade and that if New York insists on picking up his option than he won't go. He pretty much said Houston is his home and he plans to return. Sounds like Berkman is just a loaner.
